Warriors end 3-game series by sweeping away the Soo

The Michigan Warriors are the owners of the longest current winning streak in the North American Hockey League. With their 5-2 victory Saturday night at Perani Arena, the Warriors ended a 3-game two weekend series against the Soo Eagles, and picked up victory number 8 in a row.

Nick Mosher scored his first two goals in a Warriors uniform to lead the Michigan offense. Also denting the twine for the Warriors were AJ Marcinek (7), Sean Campbell (1) and Tyler Groat (11). The Eagles scores were netted by Bruno Birzitis (9) and Derek Lodermeier (6).

Robbie Beydoun picked up his 4th victory on the season in net for the Warriors while Eagles starter Landon Trutt took the loss despite being pulled minutes into the 2nd period.

The Warriors travel to Johnstown and Springfield next, before returning home to Perani Arena and Events Center to host the Johnstown Tomahawks on Friday February, 28, 2014 at 7PM.
