WILSON, N.C. - The Wilson Warbirds scored three runs in the seventh inning and used four shutout innings from Hayden Robinson to beat the Fredericksburg Nationals 3-1 on Saturday night at Wilson Ballpark.

Fredericksburg (62-39, 16-19 second half) scored first to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning when a pair of passed balls plated Juan Cruz.

Wilson (52-47, 16-17 second half) took until the seventh inning to decipher Alexander Meckley (L, 3-3). With the bases loaded and nobody out, Brailyn Antunez singled in Brady Ebel to tie the game at one. The Warbirds weren't done in the frame, as Alexander Frias scored on a wild pitch to hand Wilson a 2-1 lead.

For good measure, Frederi Montero drew a two-out walk to plate Antunez and extend the lead to 3-1 after seven innings.

Hayden Robinson (W, 3-1) was incredibly efficient on the mound, tossing 39 pitches in four shutout innings to close the door and take the win.

Wilson and Fredericksburg play the series finale Sunday at 1:05 p.m. RHP Diustin Mayorquin (1-0, 0.75) will pitch for the Warbirds against the Nationals' RHP Luke Johnson (5-2, 3.62). Tickets for the game are available at WilsonWarbirds.com or by calling (919) 269-2287.
