Walters to Bring Healthy Hawks to Leary Elementary

Rochester Knighthawks forward Joe Walters will bring the team's "Healthy Hawks" program to Leary Elementary School on Friday, February 27th. The presentation will begin at 8:15 a.m. at the school located at 5509 East Henrietta Rd.
"I am looking forward to speaking with the students at Leary Elementary. Living healthy is a passion of mine and I am always excited to spread the Healthy Hawks message to students," said Walters.
Healthy Hawks, which is sponsored by UR Medicine and Power Train Sports Institute, is designed to educate students on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. On Friday, Walters will convey the program's message to 600 students in grades K through 5.
The event will conclude with a question and answer session with the three-time NLL champion. Students will also receive booklets containing health facts, ways to stay active, recipes, a poster, and a voucher good for a Rochester Knighthawks home game.
The Knighthawks will be home again on Saturday, February 28th as they take on the Calgary Roughnecks at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena. Single game tickets are available by calling the Knighthawks Office at (585) 454-4295.
