
Walker Zimmerman Called in by the United States Men's National Team for Upcoming International Matches

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Club announced today in conjunction with the U.S. Soccer Federation the addition of reigning Major League Soccer Defender of the Year Walker Zimmerman to the United States Men's National Team roster for the upcoming international window. This will be the USA's final set of home matches before Qatar 2022.
The United States will host two friendly and two Concacaf Nations League matches, with three of them taking place on American soil.
The Stars and Stripes will take on Morocco on June 1 at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, Uruguay on June 5 at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas and Grenada in the Concacaf Nations League at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. The United States will wrap up the window on June 14 in Concacaf Nations League competition in El Salvador.

Zimmerman has been a mainstay for the United States Men's National Team since making his debut on Feb. 4, 2017, registering 28 caps. In 2021, the defender led the Stars and Stripes to an 8W-1L-1D record, six clean sheets and a 20-6 positive goal differential.
Zimmerman was crucial in the U.S. MNT's 2022 FIFA World Cup™ qualification, captaining the States and appearing in 10 Qualifying matches. The club and country captain owned a 6W-2L-2D record, five clean sheets and a goal-differential of +10 in route to clinching a spot in Qatar 2022.
At the club level, Zimmerman was elevated to a Designated Player status after signing a contract extension on April 29, keeping the defender in Music City through the 2025 MLS season.
