VooDoo sign Hamilton, waive Holloway

The New Orleans VooDoo have signed OL/DL Aaron Hamilton to the 24-man active roster, taking the place of OL/DL Menson Holloway, who was waived by the club.

Hamilton, 6-5, 280 pounds, who played both baseball and football at Tarleton State, spent the 2003 season with Colorado, where he posted 8.5 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery for the Crush. He was waived by Colorado at the end of this year's training camp. In 2002, he appeared in one game for the Dallas Desperados after spending the winter and spring on the off-season roster of the Jacksonville Jaguars as a defensive end. Hamilton played for the Nashville Kats from 2000-01, where he recorded one reception for 30 yards on offense while registering 18 tackles (16 solo) and seven sacks on defense. He was named to the AFL's All-Rookie team in 2000.
