VooDoo Set for Preseason Game at Defending ArenaBowl XXIV Champion Jacksonville
March 2, 2012 - Arena Football League (AFL)
New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS (March 2, 2012) - The New Orleans VooDoo will take part in a preseason scrimmage on Saturday, March 3 at the defending ArenaBowl Champion Jacksonville Sharks. Kickoff is set for 11:30 am CT.
The Sharks and VooDoo - both American Conference South Division members - played twice last season with Jacksonville sweeping New Orleans in route to ArenaBowl XXIV. The Sharks, however, lost QB Aaron Garcia and DB/KR Micheaux Robinson - both All-Arena selections - to other AFL teams during the offseason.
The VooDoo also have a lot of fresh faces in training camp, only returning seven players from the 2011 season. Of the seven, only JLB Alvin Ray Jackson played in all 18 games. Also returning for his sophomore season in the AFL is WR/KR Skyler Green. Green had one of the best debut games ever for a VooDoo player with 221 yards and 5 total touchdowns, ironically coming against Jacksonville.
The team held a walk through Friday morning at Pan American Stadium, and here is what head coach Pat O'Hara had to say about his team's upcoming scrimmage:

The team will continue its 2012 training camp after its scrimmage at Jacksonville on Monday, March 5.
