
99.5 FM WRNO "Rush Radio" Back with VooDoo

NEW ORLEANS (March 2, 2012) - The New Orleans VooDoo and Clear Channel Radio announced its 2012 partnership on Friday morning with 99.5 FM WRNO serving as the flagship station for VooDoo football for the second consecutive season. Also returning for a second tour of duty is play-by-play announcer Ken Trahan.
99.5 FM WRNO "Rush Radio" is a 100,000 watt station, which has a coverage area as far west as Baton Rouge, La. and eastward into Biloxi, Miss. The broadcasts will also originate on in internet at www.wrno.com.
"We are very pleased to have continued our partnership with Clear Channel and Rush Radio," said New Orleans VooDoo owner Dan Newman. "Last season was first class, and I know that they will do a great job this season as well."
The radio broadcast team for the 2011 season includes longtime local play-by-play professional Ken Trahan and AFL veteran coach and player Jon Norris on color. Trahan brings over 25 years of broadcast experience to the VooDoo broadcast booth.

Not only are the games great entertainment, but I'm so excited that our listeners will be able to experience the passion that the VooDoo and its players bring to Arena Football," said Jim Fisher, program director for "Rush Radio" 99.5 FM.
The VooDoo's first game of the 2011 season will be in The Graveyard against the Philadelphia Soul on Sunday, March 18. Kickoff is set for 3 pm.
