New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS (March 6, 2013) - The New Orleans VooDoo fall to San Antonio Talons 45-29 after a hard-hitting match up.
With just 3 days to prepare for this exhibition game, the VooDoo planned to evaluate where they stood against a team that held the National Conference's best record for the 2012 regular season.
The VooDoo started off strong forcing a Talon safety on the first drive of the game. However, the Talons answered right back with a couple of scores.
Former LSU QB Rohan Davey made his San Antonio debut by giving the Talons a comfortable lead with multiple touchdown passes.
Former New Orleans Saint Larry Beavers got things started for the VooDoo with their first touchdown early in the second quarter. Darnell Williams put on a show during his first ever professional football game scoring two touchdowns for the VooDoo.
Overall, this exhibition game was a learning experience for the players and a great opportunity for the coaches to make evaluations before cuts are to be made.
In the words of Coach O'Hara, "It's time to get back to work." Listen to what Coach O'Hara had to say about the game.
