Vipers to Host Fan Fest

Rio Grande Valley Vipers News Release


The Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League (D-League) will be holding their 2008 Fan Fest on Sunday November 16th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Dodge Arena. This will be the first chance for Vipers fans to meet the 2008-09 Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Admission is FREE for Vipers' season ticket holders and only $5 for the general public. The event will begin for members of the local media at 10:00 am for the Vipers first practice

Fan Fest will begin at 3:00 p.m. Fan Fest will have a "Midnight Madness" atmosphere highlighted by a players' Slam Dunk Contest, a 3-point Shooting Contest, and a 12-minute "Red v. White" Intrasquad Scrimmage.

In addition, Vipers fans will be picked to participate in a Hot Spot Shooting Contest with a member of the Vipers' team. 
Prior to and during Fan Fest, the Chick-Fil-A Kidz Zone will be set up for the kids in the west end zone of the arena. The 2008-09 Snake Charmers will be on hand to sign autographs, and there will be live music from great area local bands.
