The quarterfinals will be held on Friday, August 8th, the American Conference Championship Game will be held on Thursday, August 14th and the ArenaCup Championship between the two conference champions will be held on Friday, August 22nd. All kickoffs will be at 7:30.
The Vipers won the South Division Championship and wrapped up a playoff spot last week with a 60-58 win over Birmingham and Macon's loss to Florida. The team has also wrapped up a first-round bye in the playoffs because the only teams that can tie the Vipers are Cape Fear and Mohegan. Two teams from each conference will receive byes in the first round. Tennessee Valley has the tiebreaker over Cape Fear because of a 57-54 win over the Wildcats on May 24. They have the advantage over Mohegan because Albany is ahead of Mohegan in the Northeast Division and only one team from each division can get a first-round bye.
The Vipers wrap-up the number one overall seed by winning three of their next four games, or by winning two of their next four with one of those wins coming over Quad City.
Tickets will go sale for all three games on July 15 at the Von Braun Center Box Office. The second and third round games will offer student and group rates while the championship game will have no discounts. Contact the Vipers office for more information on group tickets.
