
Vipers Opening Game to be Televised

The Tennessee Valley Vipers opening game in against the Arkansas Twisters in April 6 will be televised live from Little Rock back to the Tennessee Valley.
"This is a big day for the Tennessee Valley Vipers," President, Art Clarkson said. "To be able to bring a road game on television back to the Tennessee Valley is fantastic, and we are very excited about it.
Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) will pick up the feed from Equity Broadcasting in Little Rock and air the game in Huntsville. The game can be seen on Huntsville Comcast Cable channel 67, Decatur/Athens/Hartselle Charter Cable channel 29, Guntersville Charter Cable channel 27, Moulton Charter Cable channel 52 and Scottsboro Charter Cable channel 61.
"Comcast is very excited to be covering the Tennessee Valley opening game live from Little Rock," said Nancy Cloud, Advertising Sales Manager for Comcast-Huntsville. "We want to wish the Vipers good luck in their opening game.

VIPERS RELEASE THREE, ASSIGNED ONE
Tennessee Valley head coach, Kevin Guy, began cutting his roster down to the magic number of 21. The team had 26 players on roster this weekend in the scrimmage with Columbus and must be down to 21 by next Monday.
The Vipers released former New Haven quarterback, Jason Barnett, along with former Delta State wide receiver, Jody Jennings, and defensive back, Johnny Mickell.
Tennessee Valley was assigned former Valdosta State linebacker, Antonio Speed. He started 38 games and played in 42 in his career at Valdosta State. He recorded 289 tackles, 139 solo, 20 sacks for 214 yards, 41 tackles-for-loss for 155 yards, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, four pass break ups and one interception. He was named All-Gulf South Conference and All-American in 1998 and 1999. He was also named the Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1998 and 1999.
