
Vipers Free Youth Soccer Clinic at Kroc Center

(Omaha) - The Omaha Vipers will hold their first youth soccer clinic this Saturday, October 16that The Salvation Army Kroc Center, 2825 Y Street. From 9am-12Noon, 80 children ages 8-10 years old receive skills instruction from Coach Marcelo Fontana and selected Omaha Vipers players along with a complimentary, official Omaha Vipers t-shirt. From 1-4pm, 80 young people ages 11-14 years old, will receive the same. This clinic costs $70 per child, but the Omaha Vipers, along with their partners (U-Pull It, Inc. Self-Service Auto Parts, A+ New & Used Tires and Melina's Salsa & Chips) are donating the proceeds to the Kroc Center and providing these clinics to 160 kids selected by the Kroc Center at no charge.
"It's important to me that every child has an opportunity to learn the game of soccer and I'm happy to be able to provide this to the youth of South Omaha", said Marcelo Fontana, the Omaha Vipers head coach. The Omaha Vipers are the MISL's newest franchise and will begin play November 21, 2010 vs. Missouri (Kansas City) Comets at 3:05pm at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
