MCALLEN, TEXAS - The defending NBA Development League champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced Tuesday that they have waived guard Derrick Roland (6-4, 190, Texas A&M) and center James Cripe (6-11, 255, Dayton).

The Vipers training camp roster now stands at 11, not including Houston Rockets-assignee Patrick Patterson (6-9, 235, Kentucky), who does not count against the roster limit of 10 that the Vipers must reach before their opening night matchup with the Texas Legends on Thursday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. at State Farm Arena.
