April 28, 2011 - World TeamTennis (WTT)
Washington Kastles News Release

Head Coach Murphy Jensen is in town this week and he's putting his unique brand of energy and excitement to good use. Murphy, the Grand Slam champ, TV personality and coach to the stars, will be conducting clinics at clubs and parks in the Washington region over the next four days. Most of these visits are in conjunction with programs affiliated with Kastles Ambassadors and organizations that have group outings planned for Kastles matches this summer.

On Friday, the former host of Tennis Channel's "Open Access" will be filming segments for the Comcast SportsNet special "Keys to the Kastles" due to air in June, and, on Saturday, Coach Jensen's itinerary includes appearances at the USTA Battle Against Obesity and a White House Correspondents' Brunch.

This afternoon, he will be at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center celebrating the SETLC's 10th Anniversary.

Coach Jensen will be joined at the SETLC by the Kastles' Venus and Serena Williams, who have served as SETLC mentors since its opening. After the Kastles trade strokes with the kids, they'll trade their tennis clothes for formal wear at "The Tennis Ball II," a tuxedo-and-tennis-shoe gala set to take place tonight at the SETLC.

Located in the heart of Ward 8's Washington Highlands neighborhood, the Center combines academics, cultural enrichment, technology and tennis, inspiring more than 2,000 children in the last decade.

Though tickets to "The Tennis Ball II" are sold out, you can follow Coach Jensen and the Williams sisters all weekend long on WashingtonKastles.com and the Kastles' Facebook and Twitter pages!

Also, Murphy will be back in town the weekend of May 20-22 so let us know at 202-4-TENNIS (483-6647) if you are interested in organizing a clinic or another Kastles event with him then.
