
Venom Strike Early and Often, Win Over PIFL Champ

Nashville Venom News Release
The Nashville Venom struck first in their first game as a franchise in the PIFL, with Alex Carder hitting Jordan Jolly for 6 on the first Venom possession. Carder hit Jolly for TDs 3 more times, Phillip Barnett twice, and ran for a score in the 56-40 victory for the Venom. The Alabama Hammers continually fought back, but the Venom could rarely be stopped. George Murray got the final TD, while Garrett Morgan added a FG to round out the Venom total. Wayne Daniels tallied 2 sacks and a forced fumble to pace the defense, while Scooter Rogers had an interception and Kenny Veal had a key deflection on a 2 point conversion attempt in the secondary.
The Venom will make their Nashville debut next Saturday against the Harrisburg Stampede at 7:00 in the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The Venom are off to a great start - Don't Miss the Hiss!
