MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (May 20, 2015) - A bye week for the Nashville Venom allowed them to go out and show appreciation to their fans. This past Wednesday, four Venom players and Director and Marketing Rob Vail greeted a number of supporters at Buffalo Wild Wings in Murfreesboro. They swapped stories, gave away tickets and signed autographs.

Venom Director of Sales and Marketing Rob Vail along with WR George Murray, WR Jordan Jolly, DL Steven Turner and LB Doug Rippy represented the team. For the players it was rewarding for them to be able to spend time with the fans.

"It is a blessing to be able to make someone smile because of what you do," said Rippy. "It definitely was a wonderful experience for me to meet people that support us. I had fun being around some great people."

Murray and Jolly played on the Venom's 2014 PIFL championship team. Murray was especially grateful to be in the presence of the fans.

"This fan base has been good to us since day one," said Murray. "I had a great time with the fans that came out. It's always fun getting to know and connect with our fans."

Savanna Smith of Ooltewah won four tickets to the May 29th home game versus the Marion Blue Racers. Vail, concurred with the players' response to the fans.

It's always great to get out and meet our fans and this was no exception," said Vail. That's what the Venom is all about. Being a fan friendly professional sports franchise that is approachable for fans young and old is what we are all about. This encompasses that principle. We hope to do this more."
