Venom Game Preview: Amarillo At Arkansas

Amarillo, TX 6/3/10-The Amarillo Venom are staying focused this week as they travel to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on the Diamonds June 4th at 7pm CST at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Amarillo (10-1) prevailed over Abilene last week 56-22 holding the Lonestar West Division Title tight. Running back Dontrell Moore ignited the Venom offense with three rushing touchdowns (14 total) for 93 yards. Newcomer, wide receiver Ricardo Lenhart fit right in with a receiving touchdown for 91 yards. Amarillo's defense stayed persistent with defensive lineman Barret Allen making three sacks (4 total). This will be the first of three pivotal games for the Venom as home-field advantage will play a vast role for the play-offs.

Arkansas (9-3) will play their first home game after a three game road trip and are 4-6 at home. Wide receiver Eric Ware led with two touchdowns for 66 yards when they played Austin last week. The Diamond defense is sure to put up a fight as they lead the IFL with 34 sacks as the Venom defense lead the IFL with 21 interceptions. These two teams have demonstrated their athletic ability as they lead their conference and will battle it out on the field.
