Vancouver Whitecaps FC Forward Camilo Sanvezzo Wins 2013 Budweiser Golden Boot

NEW YORK (October 27, 2013) - With 22 goals this season, Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Camilo Sanvezzo has claimed the 2013 Budweiser Golden Boot, awarded to the League's top goal scorer at the end of the regular season. The 25-year-old forward scored a hat trick tonight against the Colorado Rapids in Vancouver's final game of the season to secure the honor.
While he scored some remarkable goals this year, his scissor-kick against the Portland Timbers on October 6 makes him a strong contender for the AT&T Goal of the Year.
Camilo had six, multiple-goal games and received a league leading three Player of the Week honors. With 39 career MLS goals, he is Vancouver's all-time leader in MLS regular season goals.
