Utica City FC Makes Marquee Signing, Bringing in Kelvin Oliveira

UTICA, NY - General Manager Tommy Tanner and Utica City FC announced the signing of forward Kelvin Oliveira to a three-year contract. Kelvin is known throughout the soccer community as one of the most technical, skilled, and exciting soccer players in the world. Kelvin will join the team at the conclusion of the regular season and will be eligible to compete for Utica City FC in the Ron Newman Cup Playoffs once he returns to the United States from Dubai. He comes in with a stellar list of accolades:

- Champion, Liga Fut7 2021 (the most important national championship in Brazil) and the Best Player of the Tournament

He also scored the $1,000,000 goal for Newtown Pride FC (teammates with current Utica City FC player Issak Somow) and was named the MVP in the TST 7v7 tournament.

General Manager Tommy Tanner was thrilled with the new acquisition right before the Ron Newman Cup Playoffs: "Kelvin is one of the most exciting, talented, and technical players I have ever watched- I cannot wait for the fans in Utica to see him play! His understanding of the game, movement off the ball, and ability to finish is going to make him a star here."

Head Coach Hewerton Moreira echoed the same praise: "I am thrilled to have Kelvin join our squad. His incredible technical ability, skills, and shots will make him a dangerous force on the field. We're fortunate that his visa got approved and we can't wait to see him defending our team's colors!"
