Utah's Germaine, Orlando's McEntyre And Los Angeles' Jeffries Earn Week 10 Honors

NEW YORK - Utah Blaze QB JOE GERMAINE, Orlando Predators DB KENNY MCENTYRE and Los Angeles Avengers FB/LB JOSH JEFFRIES have been named Offensive Player, ADT Defensive Player, and Ironman of the Week, respectively, for Week 10 of the 2008 season.

OFFENSIVE: Germaine (6-2, 220, Ohio St.) completed 24-of-30 passes for a Week 10-high 337 yards and accounted for nine touchdowns (8 - passing, 1 - rushing) as the Utah Blaze (1-9) defeated the Kansas City Brigade (1-8), 67-50, on Saturday. Germaine led Utah on scoring drives during 10 of the teams 11 total possessions, while his passer rating of 139.1 ranked second among all quarterbacks in Week 10. The Blaze host the Colorado Crush (4-5) on Saturday, May 10 at 9 p.m. ET (AFL NET, ESPN360.com, FSN Rocky Mountain Local - Delay at 11:30 p.m. MT, KJZZ Local - Live).

ADT DEFENSIVE: McEntyre (5-10, 175, Kansas St.) registered two tackles, two interceptions that were each returned for touchdowns, one pass defensed and one forced fumble as the Orlando Predators (7-3) defeated the San Jose SaberCats (5-5), 61-35, on Saturday. McEntyre's first interception came during San Jose's second possession of the first quarter. His interception and nine-yard touchdown return gave the Predators an early 17-7 lead. With the SaberCats on Orlando's 15-yard line during the second quarter, McEntyre forced San Jose WR/DB JAMES ROE to fumble, allowing Predators teammate DB AHMAD CARROLL to recover and preserve Orlando's 20-point lead. McEntyre's second interception came during the SaberCats' final drive into the Predators red zone. On first-and-goal from Orlando's 19-yard line, he intercepted QB MARK GRIEB and returned it 47 yards to seal the victory. The Predators travel to Quicken Loans Arena to face the Cleveland Gladiators (5-4) on Friday, May 9 at 7 p.m. ET.

IRONMAN: Jeffries (6-3, 260, Appalachian St.) posted a game-high two rushing touchdowns on offense as the Los Angeles Avengers (4-6) defeated the Arizona Rattlers (4-5), 66-59, on Saturday. On defense, Jeffries recorded one pass defense, one quarterback hurry and one-half tackle for loss as the Avengers defense held Arizona to its second-lowest second half scoring output of the season at 21 points. On offense, Jeffries registered the game's first rushing touchdown on a one-yard run that tied the game at 45 on the first play of the fourth quarter. His second rushing touchdown came with 5:23 remaining and gave Los Angeles a 59-52 lead that they would not relinquish. Jeffries also contributed on special teams where he blocked a 34-yard field goal attempt by Rattlers K ERIC HOULE to produce the game's first defensive stop. The Avengers welcome the New York Dragons (5-4) to STAPLES Center on Saturday, May 10 at 10:30 p.m. ET (MSG Plus - Live, FSN Prime Ticket - Delay at 10:30 p.m. PT, SIRIUS Radio - Channel 130).
