Utah Warriors get a breather

The Utah Warriors are spending this weekend resting up thanks a welcome bye week. The extra week off will give the team just the time needed for many key players to come off of injuries. A strong team will be crucial to going into next week's away game versus the Rapid City Red Dogs. The Red Dogs are "chomping at the bit" to get another chance at the Warriors. Especially after the Warriors sent them home with their tails between their legs after the 71 to 16 preseason game.
Both running backs Omar Bacon (U of U) and Emmett White (Utah State), who were out due to minor injuries last week, will be playing in the game against Rapid City. The high power running game was extremely effective against the Red Dogs in the preseason game and Coach Lee Leslie is pleased to have that piece of his offense back in place.
Defensively the team will be to full strength. Linebacker Kautai Oleveo (U of U) will return to action. This is his first game back since sustaining injury in the first place of the 2003 inaugural season. Defensive Linesman Lance Sopoanga (Utah State) is also expected to return to the starting line-up.
Away Game Promotional Package:
Over the past several weeks a multitude of fans have requested a package for the away game versus the Rapid City Red Dogs. The Utah Warriors have heard the fans and are now offering such a package. The package includes*:
Bus Travel (to and from Rapid City**)
Hotel Accommodations (based on double occupancy)
Lunch on Game Day
Game Ticket (for the April 19th game)
Total Cost is $135.00 per person.
Only 50 spots are available; spots will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis! This package will be available for purchase starting at 8 am on Monday (April 14th), and will be sold only until Tuesday at 5 pm (April 15th).

** Bus will leave from the Warriors office Friday April 18th early afternoon and return early April 20th in the morning.
