
Utah Royals FC Returns Home to Face League-Leading North Carolina Courage

SANDY, Utah - Utah Royals FC returns to Rio Tinto Stadium to take on the league-leading North Carolina Courage on Saturday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m. MT.

Utah Royals FC's match against Reign FC scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 was postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Cheney Stadium just hours before kickoff, the match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. MT. In the team's last completed match URFC fell 2-1 on the road to the Houston Dash. MF Gunny Jónsdóttir scored the lone goal for Utah, assisted by MF Erika Tymrak.
Saturday's match will mark the third and final time URFC and North Carolina Courage face one another during the 2019 regular season. Thus far, Utah has drawn once and suffered a defeat to the Courage.
Most recently URFC fell 2-1 at Rio Tinto Stadium on July 27 to the reigning NWSL Champions. FW Christen Press opened scoring for Utah in the 13th minute, but the goal would prove to be the only one for Royals FC on the night.
URFC enters Friday's match with a 1-1-3 (6 points) all-time record against Reign FC.
