Utah Royals FC News Release
SANDY, UT - Utah Royals FC (4-3-5, 17 pts., NWSL 6th place) return home to Rio Tinto Stadium Wednesday night to host third-place Seattle Reign FC (5-3-4, 19 pts) for the first time in club history. The critical matchup - the first of three between Utah and Seattle in the back half of the 2018 season - represents Head Coach Laura Harvey's debut against her former team, since her Reign resignation last November. Kicking off at 8:00 p.m. MT Wednesday, Utah v. Seattle will air on KMYU, the RSL on KSL app, KSL.com and ESPN700 AM, with Greg Wrubell and Carla Haslam on the call.
Wednesday's contest - which is expected to feature the Gold-clad debuts for Utah's two newest players, USWNT FW Christen Press and NWSL DF Samantha Johnson - also celebrates "#PRIDE" night at the RioT, as the Real Salt Lake organization continues to celebrate Pride month throughout June. Fans are invited to attend Carnival Real festivities prior to kick (6:00 p.m. MT) and to join fellow fans on the field for post-game fireworks.
The midweek matchup kicks off a run that sees Utah play four of its next six games at home, as part of a second-half of its inaugural campaign where Rio Tinto Stadium hosts seven of the club's final 12 games, Utah in the thick of the playoff race as one of six teams within eight points of each other chasing three spots.
After Wednesday's match against Seattle and Saturday's hosting of Sky Blue FC, Harvey's side does the Pacific Northwest "double" at Seattle (Fri., July 6) and Portland (Wed., July 11) before returning to the RioT on July 14 against Alex Morgan and Orlando and July 20 against North Carolina.

Seattle lost 1-4 at home on Saturday to NWSL pacesetter North Carolina, which had fallen at home 0-1 to Utah the previous Saturday.
