Scott Fields, President of Basketball Operations and the Utah Eagles announce that Derrick Pearson has been named General Manager for the CBA franchise based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Derrick Pearson has been a sports professional for over ten years, with his resume including television, radio, print media and management in Salt Lake City, Charlotte, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.
Pearson was host of the popular television show, "Carolina Blitz" based out of the Carolinas, plus was a co-host of "Redskins Magazine" on Comcast SportsNet in Washington, DC. He also served as radio host of the "Starting Line-Up" on the Utah Jazz flagship station in Salt Lake City. Pearson has served as Director of Media and Communications for the Utah Snowbears and Los Angeles Aftershock.
Derrick will handle all aspects of the Utah Eagles broadcasts, simulcasting the radio and television broadcasts, and assist in the daily aspects of the basketball operations and player acquisitions.
