Utah Blaze News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - This offseason, the Utah Blaze will partner with Ute Conference Football in an effort to give back to the community's youth, the team announced today. The purpose of the Ute Conference is to provide the opportunity for all players to enjoy and participate in the active competition of the game of football.
During the months of August and September, the Blaze distributed over 1,700 donated footballs to the Ute Conference. In addition, Utah's players, coaching staff and front office will continue to support the organization throughout the season by offering coaching, fundraising and additional support for any Ute Conference members.
"We're excited to be partnering with one of the best youth football organizations in the country," said President & Head Coach Ron James. "We're always striving to give back to our community, and to be able to do that through football is a great combination."
Established in 1966, the Ute Conference strives to acquaint players with the rules of the game of football and its sound fundamentals such as passing, running, kicking, blocking, and tackling, plus helping the players maintain a sound physical, mental, and moral condition. The Ute Conference and its officials, coaches, and officers are dedicated to inspire youth, regardless of race, color or creed, to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, fellowship, team cooperation, and athletic competition.
