The 2023 USL Championship Final is this Sunday, when the Charleston Battery will host Phoenix Rising FC at Patriots Point on Sunday.
Kickoff is at 7:00 pm ET.
ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, and Sirius XM FC will broadcast the match live nationally.
Storylines:
All-time record: Charleston holds a 1-0-1 record against Phoenix. The Battery won their first meeting in 2014, and then the sides drew 1-1 in the opening game of the 2023 season.
Notable turnarounds have seen both teams reach the final after missing the playoffs last year. The Battery had the best year-on-year improvement of any club in the Championship's history with a 34-point rise from their 2022 regular season total.
Two top young coaches, Ben Pirmann (38) and Juan Guerra (36), are in their first full seasons at their clubs and proving they've got what it takes to win.
One of American soccer's historic clubs, the Battery are seeking their fifth league title in their 31-year history.
Rising FC are in their 10th-anniversary season and going for their first league title.
