Hot Hawks - The USHL's hottest team can be found in Waterloo where the Black Hawks have won six consecutive games. With at least one game at hand against every East Division team, Waterloo appears primed for a solid pre-playoff push.
Meetings - Possible playoff combatants River City and Sioux City met over the weekend, splitting two games. The Lancers boast a 4-1-0 lead in the season series against the Muskies.
Streaking - Des Moines' Mike Erickson has points in ten straight games.
Smother - The Tri-City Storm is allowing a league-low 23.43 shots per game, approximately four shots less than their closest rival.
Winners - Waterloo's P.K. O'Handley and Green Bay's Mark Osiecki both notched their 200th USHL coaching victories over the weekend.
Goals - River City's 56 thirdperiod goals lead the USHL.
No Contest - Also of note as teams consider possible playoff matchups... Tri-City is 5-1-1 against Des Moines this season and just 3-3-0 against Lincoln.
Zeros - Tri-City's Peter Mannino and Danville's Justin Tobe are tied for the USHL lead in shutouts with four each.
More Zeros - Sioux City goaltender Jeff Lantz leads the USHL with a .928 saves percentage.

River City head coach and general manager Mike Hastings on the Lancers rebounding from Friday's loss to Sioux City with a home win on Saturday (as told to Joshua Buechler, Omaha World Herald:

LPH/USHL Offensive Player of the Week:
Joel Hanson -- WATERLOO BLACK HAWKS
Hanson (Elk River, Minn.), the Hawks' top scorer, earned Offensive Player of the Week honors with a three-goal, two-assist week. One of his three goals came short-handed. He also posted a plus-minus rating of plus-3. Hanson has quietly notched over 80 points in two seasons with Waterloo. Honorable mention to Marty Mjelleli (Des Moines), Matt McIlvane (Chicago), and Adam Krug (Sioux City).
LPH/USHL Defensive Player of the Week:
Dwight Labrosse -- DES MOINES BUCCANEERS
Labrosse (McMurray, Pa.) earned Defensive Player of the Week honors with two brilliant performances in goal for Des Moines. The former U.S. Junior National netminder was 2-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a victory against division-rival Lincoln on the week. Honorable mention goes to Kevin Regan (Waterloo), Jeff Lantz (Sioux City) and Peter Mannino (Tri-City).
