USHL Weekly Report
October 27, 2003 - United States Hockey League (USHL) News Release
âRiders streaking - Cedar Rapids has tied an organizational record for consecutive road victories with five. The RoughRiders will have a chance to break the record Friday in Green Bay.
Barth rules - Last week's USHL Offensive Player of the Week, Lincoln's Adam Bartholomay, is currently in the midst of an eight-game point-scoring streak. He has 12 points over that span.
Big games - Lincoln's Evan Rankin (3G, 2A) and Cedar Rapids' Greg Collins (1G, 4A) turned in five-point games last Friday.
Downs and ups - Michael Zacharias held the highscoring Danville Wings to a single goal in a 3-1 St. Louis victory last Wednesday. It was just the second time that the Wings had been held to fewer than two goals in a game this season. Of course, Danville avenged the stifling with 13 goals in its next two games.
Balance - Six different players accounted for Sioux City's six goals in wins over Green Bay and Chicago last week.
Lancers charging - River City is in the midst of a fivegame winning streak. Streaking - Lincoln's Brent Borgen has goals in four straight games.
Game winner - Tri-City's Rastislav Spirko leads the USHL in game-winning goals with three.
