UPK inks deal with Noise

July 12, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Knoxville Noise News Release

Knoxville, TN. David Pickell, owner of United Printers of Knoxville, is pleased to announce his partnership with the ABA Knoxville Noise professional basketball team. His involvement in various community activities, events and sports' programs has been an ongoing commitment for the past 25 years. "I have always dreamed of being part of a professional sports organization," said Pickell, "and now I can't wait for the season to start.

During the late 1970's and early 1980's, United Printers was a sponsor for one of the premier softball teams of East Tennessee. His community involvement ranges from being on the Board of Directors of the West Knox County Karns Little League to being a Charter Member and Treasurer for the Karns Puritan, which oversees recreational basketball and football in the community. He has also coached and sponsored numerous baseball and basketball teams over the years.

David's involvement with Gavin Raiteri's (CEO of the Knoxville Noise) teams in the early 1990's was significant in taking his basketball team to two appearances in the AAU Nationals. "David has always been a big supporter of recreational sports in Knoxville; so to have him as a major sponsor and being responsible for all of our print work is a great fit for the Knoxville Noise and UPK," stated Raiteri. David Pickell and United Printers of Knoxville welcome the Noise to Knoxville and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.
