United Football League Announces Launch Of Boxee App To View 2010 Season Games

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Friday, September 17 - The United Football League announced today a partnership with Boxee and the release of a customized UFL Boxee App. The partnership will allow all 2010 UFL games to be broadcast live to the Boxee community, as well as providing all games on demand and as highlight reels.

Boxee's free software and devices allow people to enjoy video, music, and photos from the Internet in an interface that's designed for a TV and remote. This truly connected digital entertainment experience lets them stream content from websites such as Netflix, MLB.TV, Comedy Central, Pandora, Last.fm, and flickr. Viewers can also share information about what they are watching with friends on social networks including Facebook and Twitter so they will be able to share links to live games while they watch.

"Boxee is always working to add more great sports content to the platform," said Boxee's Vice President of Marketing, Andrew Kippen. "With the UFL now on board, we can bring exciting live football games in HD to our users from a league that promises innovative technology and in-depth behind the scenes looks to add even more to the games."

The UFL provides high-quality professional football during a traditional fall season while embracing innovation and fan interaction. The five-team league has teams in Florida, Hartford, Las Vegas, Omaha and Sacramento.

The UFL Boxee app will allow people to watch live games, games already played, and older video content on any TV in their home connected to a PC running Boxee or a Boxee-enabled device like the upcoming Boxee Box by D-Link.
