
UIF Week Five Summary

Omaha, NE - Week five brought the true excitement of professional indoor football with four of the five games decided by seven or fewer points and the return of a leader to help his team pick up their first victory of the year.
BILLINGS OUTLAWS (18) at SIOUX FALLS STORM (51)
Going into the second half, the Outlaws only trailed 12-21; that's when the trouble started. Adam Hicks would kick a 17-yard field goal, followed by three touchdowns--a 14 yard pass from Terrance Bryant to James Terry, Marques Smith running for his second of three on the night and Terrance Bryant getting his second touchdown pass by hitting Allen Burrell for 44 yards and stretching the score to 12-45. Chris Dixon then threw his only touchdown pass of the night as Anthony Chandler got in a 13-yarder. The Outlaws (0-4) host the 1-3 Sioux City Bandits this weekend while Sioux Falls (5-0) gets a week six bye.
OMAHA BEEF (32) at COLORADO ICE (39)
The Ice made the first blow with a 31-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Clement to Ed Renteria. After two unanswered touchdowns by the Beef to close the first quarter, the Ice regained composure and scored two of their own, the second coming from Travis Garcia running back a 44-yard interception. With :07 left remaining in the half James McNear hit Marques Johnson tying the game 22-22 after a Ted Retzlaff PAT. In the fourth quarter, with the score 32-29, Colorado put on 10 points to capture the win. The Beef (3-2) will be at home against the 1-3 Bloomington Extreme on Saturday.
ROCK RIVER RAPTORS (53) at RIVERCITY RAGE (58)
A combined 70 point first half with the Raptors trailing 31-39 showed the offensive force of both teams as there was only one field goal attempted. Travis Williams of the Rage along with Luke McArdle and Jeremiah Thompson of the Raptors all had two first-half touchdowns. In the second half the Rage wouldn't look back as Williams added another TD finishing the game with 122 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns. Rage quarterback Anthony Fisher finished 13-21 for 167 yards with six touchdowns and one interception. His counterpart Ben Sankey went 19-35 for 271 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Tauras Ferguson for the Rage and Billy Cook for the Raptors both had 53 yard kickoff returns. Sankey and the Raptors (2-2) will return home Saturday to face the 3-2 Lexington Horsemen.
SIOUX CITY BANDITS (28) at EVANSVILLE BLUECATS (26)
Ricco Watkins connected with Johnnie Ostermeyer starting the scoring with 9:34 left in the first quarter on a 31 yard pass. The BlueCats then answered back with a touchdown and two field goals making the score 7-13. Zac Gradoville then brought the Bandits within three with 4:04 left in the half. In the second half, see-saw scoring would commence and have the score 16-20 BlueCats with 1:16 left in the third. Ray Kirkley moved the BlueCats up by 10 in fourth, but the Bandits wouldn't be stopped scoring on a nine-yard touchdown catch by Donva Louder and a 35 yard TD catch by Rashaun Sanders to get the 28-26 win. The BlueCats (1-3) will take to the road to battle the 1-3 Ohio Valley Greyhounds in Wheeling, WV.
LEXINGTON HORSEMEN (32) at BLOOMINGTON EXTREME (33)
The Horsemen entered the night with a 3-1 record, while the Extreme came in without a win. For the Extreme, Dusty Burk, who missed the first three games due to injury, finished 15-24 with 133 passing yards helped lead the Extreme to victory number one. In the fourth Kewan Dewberry and John Cooper connected with 5:35 on the clock making it 32-20. Burk then answered with a 5-yard scoring run with 1:11 to go to pull the Extreme within five after the Christofilakos kick. With just 00:10 remaining, Burk connected with James Walton for a 17-yard touchdown to capture the one-point win.
