UIF Players of the Week announced

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce that Lexington Horsemen quarterback Kewan Dewberry, Sioux Falls Storm defensive lineman Leif Murphy and Rock River Raptors kicker Doug Daniel have been named the three Players of the Week for week 12. Dewberry passed his way to Offensive Player of the Week, while the aggressive play of Murphy earned him Defensive Player of the Week and on Special Teams Daniel was perfect on the field as well as in the voting, earning all the first place votes.

Kewan Dewberry (LEX) returns for the second time this season as Offensive Player of the Week, with the first being in week three. In week 12, he completed 17-of-21 for 179 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed two times for 19 yards, leading the Horsemen to a 40-34 victory over the Bloomington Extreme. Dewberry and the Horsemen will have a road trip this weekend where they'll meet the Evansville BlueCats.

Leif Murphy (SFS) collected six solo tackles, 6.5 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble that he recovered for a touchdown. Murphy led the Storm to a 50-25 win over the Sioux City Bandits. Sioux Falls will look to continue their undefeated streak this Saturday as they host Ohio Valley.

Doug Daniel (ROC) was 7-of-7 on field goals and 4-of-4 on PAT's. The Raptors defeated the BlueCats 49-16 and will face the Bloomington Extreme on the road this Saturday.

Receiving Week 12 Honorable Mentions are: Offense, Terrance Bryant (SFS); Defense, Terrell Washington (RIV); and Special Teams, Peter Christofilakos (BLO).
