This Week in the UIF: It's the "in-between" week for United Indoor Football. United Bowl III is in the books and the Casey's All-Star Classic is 10 days away. It will seem odd not having UIF games taking place this week. The Sioux Falls Storm captured its third consecutive United Bowl, defeating the Lexington Horsemen 62-59 at the Sioux Falls Arena. Storm wide receiver Casey Veenhof was named UB III Most Valuable Player as he hauled in seven catches for 74 yards with two fourth quarter touchdowns including the game-winner with 0:08 to go. Bloomington, IL Casey's All-Star Update: Help choose the starting lineups! Click here to participate in our on-line survey. You'll have the opportunity to help select the starters for the All-Star game. In some instances there is only one players to choose, but please give them your support. You will notice some missing notables: Lawrence Bady of Rock River broke his leg in the first round of the playoffs. He has been replaced with Willie Austin from the Ohio Valley Greyhounds in the Eastern Conference selections for wide receivers. In the Western Conference, quarterback Terrance Bryant and offensive lineman Paul Keizer from Sioux Falls are injured. Keizer's linemate Ya'Tarrie Brown will be replacing him on the roster. Surveys need to be completed by 5 p.m. CDT, Monday, August 13th.
Champion USA will be the official apparel provider for the All-Star Classic. While the players will be receiving great Champion gear, thanks to The Graphic Edge, based in Carroll, IA, fans will have the opportunity to pickup some great looking Casey's All-Star Classic gear too.

Fresh off the heels of hundreds of on-line viewers for United Bowl III, UIF is proud to announce that B2 Networks will also broadcast the All-Star game on a pay-per-view basis for only $6. Log on to www.b2livetv.com. The event may be purchased 10-15 minutes prior to the beginning of the broadcast.
Tickets are on sale for the Casey's All-Star Classic game. Tickets have been allotted for each UIF team and fans are encouraged to contact their local team for tickets and check into bus trips. All others can contact the U.S. Cellular Coliseum box office Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. CDT at (309) 434-2679. WTVQ ran the Lexington Horsemen press release on the team's battle with Sioux Falls for United Bowl III. It was Lexington Head Coach Mike Zuckerman's last game at the helm.
Bloomington Extreme Head Coach Ted Schmitz will head up the Easter Conference All-Star coaching staff while Billings Outlaws Head Coach Heron O'Neal will guide the Western Conference. Bloomington's Pantagraph features some of Schmitz' assistants.
In the meantime, O'Neal is already thinking about the 2008 UIF season according to the Bilings Gazette.
