This Week in the UIF: Week 17 is the regular season finale. While we know all of the teams that will be in the playoffs, some of this weekend's games will determine where some teams will be playing. The Eastern Conference has had plenty of shuffling throughout the season. Two weeks ago Rock River secured home field advantage. RiverCity's thrilling last-second victory last week gets them home field in round one. Bloomington and Lexington are already in, but both are looking to lock down the third seed in the east. Bloomington plays at Evansville and Lexington hosts Ohio Valley. If the Extreme and the Horsemen both win, Lexington will be the third seed via the tiebreakers. Rock River will host the number four seed 7:05 p.m. CDT Saturday, July 21 while RiverCity will host the number three seed at 3:10 p.m. CDT Sunday, July 22.

Sioux Falls is the number one seed in the Western Conference and Billings is number two. Those two teams play each other in the season finale, but it won't make a difference in terms of seeding. The other two teams in the playoffs in the west also play each other in week 17 and it will make a difference. Omaha travels to Colorado this weekend. The winner becomes the three seed and will face the Outlaws in Billings, MT at 7:05 p.m. MDT Saturday, July 21st. The loser will be the fourth seed and travels to Sioux Falls for a 7:05 p.m. CDT kickoff Saturday, July 21.

Sioux City Bandit offensive lineman Shawn Robinson is playing for Team USA in the World Championships of American Football through July 15 in Kawasaki, Japan. Follow Shawn's experience by checking out the UIF Headlines on the front page of www.unitedindoorfootball.com. Shawn is keeping track of his time on Team USA with regular journal entries.
