Published on March 26, 2007 under United Indoor Football Association (UIF) News Release
Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football announced this morning the creation of a player development department and the hiring of Jarrod Rogol as coordinator of player development. Rogol says he can't wait to get to work. "The people I've talked to in the UIF have outstanding personalities, and I look forward to working with everyone around the league. There is a lot of work ahead in order to make player development a key part of the league," he said.
Rogol also knows how important this is for the league. "Our mission statement for player development will be as follows, 'It is the position of the UIF to provide the highest level of assistance to its players, coaches, and staff members in the following three categories: Career Advancement, Personal Skills, and Education.'"
In his position, Rogol's main duties will be overseeing the scouting of collegiate and professional prospects, and helping players and staff with the transition into and out of the UIF, through the areas outlined in the department's mission statement. He will also be working with the communications staff.
UIF Executive Director & Commissioner, Dakota Crow, says the creation of the player development department is a great addition to the league. "We feel that as a league the way to provide our fans with the best atmosphere is to provide the best attention to the people working within the league," he said. Crow followed by saying, "The decision to bring Jarrod in as coordinator of player development is one that will greatly benefit the league. His knowledge of indoor football as well as his strong relationships within the indoor and arena football community are both welcome additions."
The background Rogol brings includes coaching at the NCAA D-II level, and working as an advisor to high school and college athletes and professional teams.
