LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced on Thursday that it will host the Children's Classic Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 12th, 2006. The event is being held at the beautiful 18-hole course at the Golf Club of Wentzville located in Wentzville, Missouri. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit St. Louis Children's Hospital.

"St. Louis Children's Hospital is excited to be part of the upcoming UHL golf tournament," stated Jim Miller, Executive Vice President, St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation. "It is because of the generous support of the community and organizations like the United Hockey League that we are able to provide the very best care to the children and families at Children's Hospital. On behalf of the many lives that will be positively impacted by this event, I would like to extend thanks to the United Hockey League for their generous support of St. Louis Children's Hospital."

The UHL previously teamed up with St. Louis Children's Hospital for the 2006 UHL All-Star Classic in January. Proceeds from that event raised over $10,000 for the Hospital.

"We are very proud to host this event and give something back to a special organization," stated Richard Brosal, UHL President/CEO. "UHL teams continue to be involved with their local communities each year and we want to follow that example within our community. The tournament will be fun for all those who participate plus it will contribute to the programs and services that St. Louis Children's Hospital provides for so many young people at their facility."

Founded in 1879, St. Louis Children's Hospital is one of the premier children's hospitals in the United States. It serves not just the children of St. Louis, but children across the world. The hospital provides a full range of pediatric services to the St. Louis metropolitan area and a primary service region covering six states. As the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Children's Hospital offers nationally recognized programs for physician training and research.
