
UHL issues suspensions

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- United Hockey League (UHL) Vice President of Hockey Operations Brad Jones announced today the following suspensions resulting from UHL Game #267, Flint @ Port Huron, January 12, 2005.
Flint right wing Mike Wolf is being issued a twenty-five (25) game suspension under Rule 76(a) and Rule 33A as a result of his physically abusing an official. Mr. Wolf's suspension will commence with UHL Game #270 on January 14, 2005 versus Danbury and shall continue through UHL Game #432 on March 4, 2005 versus Missouri. Mr. Wolf may resume play beginning with UHL Game #442 on March 6, 2005 versus Motor City.
Flint defenseman Kam White is being issued a six (6) game suspension for his actions. Three (3) of these games are being issued under Rule 76(a-iii) as a result of his physically abusing an official, one (1) game is being issued as a result of accumulation with the final two (2) games being issued under Rule 33A as a result of his actions during an altercation. Mr. White's suspension will commence with UHL Game #270 on January 14, 2005 versus Danbury and shall continue through UHL Game #309 on January 23, 2005 versus Rockford. Mr. White may resume playing beginning with UHL Game #319 on January 28, 2005 versus Rockford.
Flint right wing Mike Kinnie is being issued a two (2) game suspension under Rule 43 as a result of a match penalty he was issued during this game.
"These types of actions will not be tolerated. With the issuance of such suspensions, the league sends a clear message to those in the industry, our commitment to hinder such occurrences," stated Brad Jones, Vice President of Hockey Operations of the UHL.
In announcing today's actions, Commissioner Richard Brosal made the following statement:
"The disregard for the safety of players and officials is unacceptable. I fully support Brad Jones's decisions and hope that the disciplinary actions of the league will help to curb these incidences from occurring in the future."
