JACKSONVILLE, FL - Tuesday, October 12, 2010 - The United Football League's touchdown-scoring leader, a cornerback whose play changed a game's momentum and a record-setting kicker have all won Player of Week 4 honors.

United Football League Players of Week 4

Offense - Dominic Rhodes, RB, Florida Tuskers

Defense - Isaiah Trufant, CB, Las Vegas Locos

Special Teams - Nick Novak, K, Florida Tuskers

Florida Tuskers running back DOMINIC RHODES played a key role in his team snapping a two-game losing streak on Saturday, as he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in Florida's 33-20 win at the Hartford Colonials, earning the Offensive Player of the Week award.

The former Super Bowl winner's 99 yards tied a UFL season high, and the touchdown gave Rhodes a league-high four visits to the end zone on the ground at the midway point of the season. Rhodes produced his best work after the Tuskers took the lead late in the third quarter, rushing for 59 yards in the fourth quarter alone.

Rhodes played six seasons for the Colts from 2001 to 2006 and in 2008, rushing for 2,812 and 25 touchdowns on 702 carries and caught 136 passes for 951 yards and four more scores. In a Super Bowl XLI win over the Chicago Bears he rushed for a game-high 113 yards, scoring on a one-yard run. During the 15-4 championship season, Rhodes was the team's leading rusher in the post-season with 306 yards. He had eight NFL games with 100 or more yards rushing.

Las Vegas Locos defensive back ISAIAH TRUFANT produced one of the best overall individual defensive performances of the 2010 UFL season on Friday night in a 22-10 home victory over the previously unbeaten Omaha Nighthawks to earn defensive honors.

Trufant tied a league record with two interceptions, including a 27-yard touchdown return that earned the Locos a 16-10 lead that swung the game's momentum late in the first half. He also added six total tackles, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.

Trufant returned for a second season in the UFL after playing for the Locos during the 2009 campaign when he recorded 13 tackles and 4 pass breakups during the regular season and added 2 tackles and the key interception in overtime in the 2009 UFL Championship Game victory over Florida. He played with Arena Football League's Spokane Shock in 2006 and also played for the Kansas City Brigade and Arizona Rattlers.

Kicker NICK NOVAK set a pair of UFL single-game records during the Florida Tuskers 33-20 road win at the Hartford Colonials. Novak was 4-for-4 on field goals, setting a new mark for the most in a single game by making kicks from 29, 42, 24 and 38 yards. With three extra points in addition, Novak also set a new single-game record by scoring 15 points.
