Nighthawks Sign Draft Pick Adrian Jones

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - OMAHA, NE - TUESDAY, OCT. 12 - Offensive tackle Adrian Jones, the fourth-round UFL Draft pick by the Omaha Nighthawks in June, has joined the team for the rest of the 2010 season.

Jones spent a total of seven years in the NFL from 2004-10. From his time as a fourth-round draft pick by the New York Jets in 2004 until the beginning of the 2007 season, Jones played 44 games with the Jets, starting all 16 games in the 2005 season. After that, Jones played with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2007 and 2008, starting 10 of 11 games played.

The former Kansas standout was also a member of the offseason and practice squads of the Houston Texans in 2009 and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010.

Jones and the Nighthawks (2-1) will kick off their second road game of the season this Saturday at the Hartford Colonials (1-2) at 2:00 p.m. CDT., on the New England Sports Network.
