
Two Washington Stealth Players Earn Weekly NLL Awards

Everett, Wash. - The National Lacrosse League announced its weekly award winners today and two members of the Washington Stealth were recognized. Forward Lewis Ratcliff was named Offensive Player of the Week while defenseman Mike Grimes earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for their performances in the Stealth's 18-10 victory over the Edmonton Rush last weekend.
Ratcliff, a 2011 NLL All-Star, paced the Stealth offense last weekend with four goals and five assists. The nine-point effort vaulted Ratcliff into a tie for league lead with 61 points through ten games this season. He also sits in second place on the league's assist list with 38 and seventh in goals with 23.
Grimes, also a 2011 All-Star, tallied two goals and an assist along with eleven loose balls last weekend. Grimes leads all NLL defenseman with 14 points this season, equaling his career-high. He has also set a new career-high in goals with seven this season, which is also tops for NLL defensemen.
The Stealth (5-5) has won its last two games by a combined 21 goals. This weekend, the defending NLL champions face the West-leading Calgary Roughnecks (6-3) at the Comcast Arena at Everett.
