EDMONTON -- The Canadian Football League held the first of two regional combines today in Edmonton, resulting in two players being invited to the CFL Combine presented by Reebok in Toronto this coming weekend.

Michael Klassen, a defensive lineman from the University of Calgary, and Jermaine Gabriel, a defensive back from the CJFL's Calgary Colts, who also spent two years at Bishop's University, both impressed scouts enough today to earn an invite to the CFL Combine in Toronto. Both players are eligible to be selected in the 2013 CFL Draft on Monday, May 6.

Overall, 46 players attended today's combine and worked out in front of scouts from all CFL teams.

On Wednesday, March 20, the CFL is holding its second regional combine in Quebec City, QC.

The 2013 CFL Combine presented by Reebok kicks off in Toronto Friday afternoon with player arrivals, medicals and team interviews. On Saturday the players' strength, athleticism and flexibility will be tested at the Park Hyatt Toronto Hotel. The camp finishes on the football field at Varsity Centre at the University of Toronto on Sunday. Stay tuned to CFL.ca for all the latest CFL Combinenews and results.
