Dallas, TX - The Texas Tycoons had two more of their former players sign in Europe with Josh Gonner (6'2''-G-82, college: S.Carolina) (6'2''-G-82, college: S.Carolina) signing with ToPo Helsinki (Finland-1) and Marcus Sloan (6'9''-F-82, college: TCU) signing with Benetton Fribourg Olympic (Switzerland-1).

Gonner prepped at Fort Worth's Paschall High School en route to a stellar career at South Carolina. As a member of the Gamecocks, Gonner led USC to an SEC Tournament Quarterfinal and an NIT Championship. Gonner was also featured on the cover of ESPN's College Basketball 2k5 video game for Sega. After his collegiate career, Gonner went on to star for the Houston Blaze in tournament play in Nicaragua and last season for the Texas Tycoons, helping lead Texas to the ABA Title game averaging 16.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.4apg, 44.8%FG, and 39.6%3PFG.

Sloan prepped at Houston's Eisenhower High School and later starred at TCU, leading the Horned Frogs in blocked shots for three successive seasons. Sloan and TCU were eliminated in the final 4 of the NIT in 2005, the same season Gonner's Gamecocks won the tournament. After his collegiate career, Sloan won numerous accolades while playing in Germany such as Defensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All-League, and Import Player of the Year for TV Lich averaging a double-double of 20.0ppg and 10.3rpg to go with 1.7apg, 2.3spg, 1.4bpg while shooting 58.4% from the field.

When asked about all the former Tycoons players that are signing in Europe this summer; Texas Tycoons Head Coach Chris Terrell said "We're really proud of the success we have had. Josh and Marcus are tremendous basketball players and even better people. They are going to bring a lot to an organization not only on the basketball court but also in the locker room and in the community. I know both to have NBA aspirations and we know they'll both have great seasons in Europe and work towards playing in NBA summer leagues. Funky Town, Represent."

The Texas Tycoons Free Agent and Rookie Camp will be held on September 15th, 2007 in DeSoto, Texas.
