March 11, 2014 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Indiana Ice News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice announced today that forward Scott Conway and goaltender Hayden Stewart have been named the CCM Forward and the Reebok Goaltender of the Week for their respective positions.

This will be the first weekly honor of the season for Conway while Stewart was named the goaltender of the week in early February following a pair of shutouts in back-to-back contests against the Youngstown Phantoms.

Conway is coming off his best week with the Ice as the Penn State commit recorded seven points (4G, 3A) in a trio of road contests over the weekend. Through 47 games this season, Conway leads all Icemen in points (52), goals (24) and assists (28).

He logged an assist in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Waterloo Black Hawks before putting on a scoring clinic against the Lincoln Stars in Friday's 6-1 win from the Lincoln Ice Box. The Kissimmee, FL-native potted his first USHL hat trick and added an assist in the contest. Conway then followed up with a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-0 shutout win over Lincoln.

Stewart continued his hot streak with the Ice, stopping 54 of 55 shots across two games against Lincoln to improve to 9-0-0 since joining the Indy roster in mid-January. The Rockford, IL-native stopped 28 of 29 shots on Friday for the 6-1 win before besting all 26 shots in Saturday's 4-0 decision to earn his third shutout with the Ice.

In nine games in Indy, Stewart has only allowed six goals while holding opponents to a single goal or less in every contest for a 0.67 GAA and a .972 save percentage in the stretch. Through 22 contests this season, he sits second among USHL goaltenders in GAA (2.07), save percentage (.923) and shutouts (4).

Conway, Stewart and the Indiana Ice continue through their five-game road trip this Friday and Saturday with back-to-back contests with Eastern Conference rival Green Bay Gamblers from the Resch Center at 8:05 pm.

The Ice return to the "Circle City" to host the Youngstown Phantom at Pan Am Pavilion at 7:05 pm on Saturday, March 22 and the Muskegon Lumberjacks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Sunday, March 23 for "Family Night," presented by the Sexton Companies. Sunday's 3:05 pm contest against Muskegon will be immediately followed by a free post-game concert.

Individual and group tickets are on sale for all remaining 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
