Tulsa Talons News Release

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa Talons of af2 received fantastic news this week when sports agent, Jeremy Ploeger, announced the signing of his player Bjorn Barre. WR/DB, Bjorn Barre, signed with the AFL Chicago Rush Monday, October 4, 2004. The Talons are very proud of his accomplishments and feel honored to have had Barre be a part of the 2004 team.

Barre greatly contributed to the Talons success this past season. Barre was awarded the U.S. Army Ironman of the Week for the af2 in week four. Barre was ranked seventh in af2 for the 2004 regular season in kickoff returns averaging 23.7. He was also ranked second in af2 for the 2004 regular season as an Individual Game High record holder in interception return yards with 57 yards. He accomplished this record in the game against Peoria Pirates on April 23rd.

The other teams Barre was looking at were the AFL Los Angeles Avengers and the Georgia Force. When asked, "Why Chicago?" Barre stated, "I have never been to the city of Chicago and thought it was the best opportunity for myself."

"With the intensity and excitement BJ played within Tulsa, there is no doubt in my mind BJ will bring the same to the Chicago Rush. Hopefully, Chicago will enjoy BJ's talent as much as Tulsa did this past season" stated Sports Agent, Jeremy Ploeger.

One of our goals, in the af2, is to help our players advance to the next level and achieve their dreams. Barre has shown it can be done!
