Tulsa, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock have signed guard/forward Karima Christmas. As a restricted free agent, Christmas signed an offer sheet with Tulsa on Sunday and a multi-year contract on Thursday. Christmas originally signed with Tulsa as a free agent in 2011. In 2012, the Shock traded Christmas to the Indiana Fever in exchange for guard Roneeka Hodges. Christmas appeared in all 34 games for the Fever, averaging 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2014.

"We are elated Karima signed her offer sheet with Tulsa," said Steve Swetoha, President of the Tulsa Shock. "She is now a member of the Tulsa Shock organization for the next several years. Karima fills a great need at the three position and she is going to be a wonderful addition to our team."

"I am so happy to be back with the Tulsa Shock," said Karima Christmas, Tulsa Shock Forward. "Steve Swetoha and Coach Williams made me believe their vision for the organization. I am looking forward to helping the Shock have a great 2015 season."

In 2013, Christmas appeared in all 34 games for Indiana, averaging career highs in points per game with 8.6, and rebounds per game with 4.1.

"I'm very excited for the opportunity to coach Karima," said Fred Williams, Head Coach of the Tulsa Shock. "She can play multiple positions on the court and I'm excited about what she will bring to our franchise, both on and off the court."

As a member of the 2012 WNBA Championship team, Christmas averaged 3.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in three games for the Fever.

Tulsa's home opener will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 6 vs. Chicago Sky at the BOK Center. Season tickets are on sale now at 918-949-9700.
