Tulsa Oilers News Release
Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, will honor those who have served and still serve, by hosting Military Night at the BOK Center on Saturday, May 27 as they take on the Massachusetts Pirates at 7:05 p.m.
The festivities will begin at 4:00 p.m. as the Oilers host the pregame tailgate located at the Arena Pub and Grill parking lot just across the street from the BOK Center. Parking spaces are $30 to reserve and fans are encouraged to bring grills, food etc.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the first 1000 fans upon entry will receive a patriotic American Flag themed pair of sunglasses along with a mini American Flag.
Veterans and Active Military with proof of Military ID can get $5 tickets at the BOK Center Box Office windows.
The grand lobby will display booths, represented by entities such as the U.S. Army, U. S. Marines, Civil Air Patrol, and Soldier's Wish.
Soldier's Wish identifies the unmet needs of active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, providing resources directly. They do so through private donations and corporate sponsorships. Soldier's Wish will be "granting a wish" during halftime.
The Tulsa Oilers will wear military-themed specialty jerseys and host the first Jersey Auction in franchise history, which will begin upon the game's conclusion in the River Spirit Lounge behind section 107. Fans will have a chance to bid on and own a game-worn jersey for any player for the first time ever and will also get a chance to interact with players and coaches during the auction event.
