TSN Announces New Partnership with the National Lacrosse League
December 22, 2014 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) News Release
TSN today announced a new multiplatform broadcast agreement with the National Lacrosse League for the 2015 season that allows Canadians to watch the league's entire 81-game regular season plus the Champion's Cup playoffs and Final.
As part of the deal, TSN will broadcast 12 regular season games and select post-season games, including the Champion's Cup Final (see broadcast schedule below). The remaining 69 regular season games will be available exclusively to TSN subscribers through TSN GO. TSN GO also allows TSN subscribers to access live streaming and on demand viewing of the network's total NLL package.
TSN's live coverage begins Saturday, Jan. 3 at 9 p.m. ET on TSN1 when the Calgary Roughnecks host the Vancouver Stealth in a Canadian rivalry matchup. Coverage continues through to the final weekend of the regular season, culminating with the Edmonton Rush visiting the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday, May 2 at 9 p.m. ET on TSN1 and TSN3.
"We're thrilled to expand our broadcast partnership with TSN for the 2015 NLL season," said George Daniel, NLL Commissioner. "Fans across Canada will now have unprecedented access to watch the world's best lacrosse players."
"The National Lacrosse League delivers an abundance of energy and entertainment," said Shawn Redmond, Vice-President, Programming and Marketing, TSN. "With solid teams representing this country, we are looking forward to showcasing the complete NLL season and helping to grow the game of lacrosse in Canada."
Earlier this month, TSN Radio Vancouver announced a new broadcast rights agreement with the Vancouver Stealth to deliver all nine of the team's home games during the 2015 National Lacrosse League regular season.
