Cleveland, Ohio - Cleveland City Stars defender Troy Roberts has been named to the Week 15 USL First Division Team of the Week after leading the City Stars defense in last week's 0-0 draw with third place Charleston.
It is the second Team of the Week appearance this season for Roberts as the native of San Jose was awarded in Week Six after helping Cleveland defeat Minnesota on the road.
"Troy has been a huge part of our defense all season and last week was no different," said City Stars Head Coach Rod Underwood. "Our defense has improved lately and I'm looking forward to our continued development as we take the road this week."
The 25-year old Roberts played the previous four seasons with the L.A. Galaxy of Major League Soccer before joining the City Stars. Roberts has appeared in 17 of Cleveland's 18 matches on the season while amassing a team-leading 1,505 minutes.
