River City Rascals News Release
The Rascals are proud to announce that RHP Trey Lambert's contract has been purchased by the Texas Rangers organization. Lambert is now the seventh player from the 2014 Rascals roster to be signed by an MLB's affiliated team.
Coming to the Rascals in June of 2014, Lambert finished out the season with a 3-1 record and a 4.17 ERA. A former Liberty University Flame, Lambert threw 25 strikeouts and one complete game in his time in a Rascals uniform. This 6'4", 205 lb. pitcher will definitely be missed on the mound in 2015.
Rascals Manager, Steve Brook, had this to say about Lambert: "I am so proud to see Trey advance to the Texas Rangers organization. Lambert worked through some early struggles in our starting rotation but quickly found his home in our 2014 late inning bullpen. He had a sensational second half of the season and was a vital aspect of our playoff run. I wish Trey the best in his future with the Rangers and have confidence that he will continue to succeed throughout the upper levels of affiliated ball."
