Seals beats Las Vegas 10-9. Leclaire nets a hat trick in the triumph, propelling the Seals into the playoffs.
On Saturday night, the San Diego Seals secured their berth in the 2024 National Lacrosse League playoffs in a thrilling manner. Despite trailing 5-1, they staged a remarkable comeback to clinch a 10-9 overtime victory against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs at Pechanga Arena.
Tre Leclaire sealed the Seals' playoff spot by capitalizing on a full-field pass from goaltender Chris Origlieri, scoring just 54 seconds into the sudden death period. This marked Leclaire's third goal of the night, leading his team in scoring.
Contributing to the Seals' victory, Dane Dobbie and Wes Berg both found the net twice. Berg additionally notched six assists, accumulating a game-high 8 points.
With this triumph, the Seals' season record stands at 11-4. They are set to return to Pechanga Arena on April 5th at 7 p.m. PT to take on Panther City for Stick Up For a Cure Night.
